Movie stars and fancy cars go hand in hand in Hollywood. Unless you're a player in the business, it's very difficult to tell who is real and who is just acting the part though. On a warm spring night, the founding members of the Los Angeles-based Fat Tire Club were returning from a TV show taping in Malibu. Rather than heading home they decided to stop at a trendy restaurant on the world famous Sunset Strip
Syed Ahmed was in town from Dubai and, being a connoisseur of high-dollar machines, the custom rides took his fancy.
As a result of witnessing the impressive collection of motorcycles, he struck up a conversation with Tony Sesto of Sesto Cycles and commissioned a build the next day. As quick as he could swipe his platinum credit card, a 2006 ZX-14 was purchased and immediately disassembled for a dip in Sport Chrome's shiny stuff. A few months later, Ahmed returned to find his chariot waiting for him-complete with a scorpion theme.
After a quick trip to the sand for a photo shoot, the bike was crated and on a plane for transport. Since returning home, Ahmed has been the talk of the town as the first to own a fat tire in Duabi. Men will be men anywhere in the world and as the news of something new spread, so have the overseas orders.
