Carrying that mantra into the project, he set out with a mix of Ohlins suspension pieces and some sick Brembo HP race calipers. With suspension and brakes on lock Leo ended his long-standing hunt for the ideal wheel when he came across some red anodized Carrozzeria hoops.
"It was crazy, but I passed up Marchesinis and PVMs not because I didn't want them, but because they weren't the right color-I wanted everything to look a certain way and when I found the Carrozzerias I knew I'd found the missing link-the color was perfect."
If beauty in the details isn't evident enough already, Leo made sure that even the subframe and all visible pieces on the motor were painted gloss black. Entering further into the OCD world of show bikes he added the Piteck upper triple, Pazzo levers and has all the remaining aluminum pieces on the bike anodized to match his righteous rims.
Before hopping onto the performance side of the fence Leo wrapped up the aesthetics with some custom seats, a Hotbodies undertail and a smattering of carbon-fiberness throughout.
To ensure there was some bite behind the bark, the 750 was shipped to GP Cycles where it was adorned with a Taylormade exhaust system, Power Commander and quickshifter, velocity stacks and custom throttle bodies. The mods help belt out an impressive 148 hp at the wheel-no joke for a 750.
With the looks dialed and the power to back it, there was just one finishing touch to finish the project. "The Jordan stickers were the last mod and they completed the look. I feel the bike looks every bit as good as the race bikes-even better."
They say a custom project is never truly finished, but Leo couldn't disagree more.
"Looking back on the build I wouldn't do anything differently. In my eyes there's simply no room for improvement!"
