Clean on the outside, cream on the inside," is the phrase made popular by rap artist Dorrough, and it's the perfect description for Pedro Nieves's first big build. With a GSX-R1000 selected as the base, Nieves started by leaving the "bolt-on manual" at home. Instead, he and designer James Callahan put pencil to paper to design custom wheels and a single-sided swingarm capable of holding a huge 360 rear tire.
Nieves explained how the collaboration of concepts came to be: "It took me about seven months from start to finish. Most of that time James and I were designing the swingarm and wheels. You see the same swingarms all the time, and we wanted to design one you wouldn't see anywhere else. It's designed to be bulky for a truly unique style. I wanted to be different."
When it came time for paint, Nieves aimed to keep it simple with a cream and orange color scheme. The end result is a high-class finish that won't soon become outdated.
