Sometimes one must hit rock bottom before they can setout down the path to utter greatness. Such is the case of this unique '06 ZX-10R built by Kory Souza, which happens to be the classic case of tragedy turned triumph.
"Christina, the owner, had initially taken her bike to another shop, but after two years of waiting and still no bike she moved it to my shop. When I got the Kawi it was a rolling chassis that was partially complete but didn't run. The wiring was a mess and it needed to be completely put back together," Souza recalled.
No less than $8000 was invested...
No less than $8000 was invested into the unique paint. And after one look it proves it was worth every penny.
Souza wasted no time in stripping the half-built custom to the core. In a matter of months a slew of pieces were powdercoated or chromed to achieve the perfect blend of both worlds. The wiring was also carefully stitched back together along with the AirFX air ride up front and the Dapincci air ride out back. Other bits like the Roaring Toyz exhaust and the RC Components wheels helped complete the custom ensemble.
But quite possibly the most distinctive part of this build is the paint. It's so different and so intricate it takes several rounds before it can all be taken in. Bits of flake and foil, multiple colors, gradients and even the "eye-liner" around the headlights create one awesome package.
We'd say this ZX-10 is proof that when life throws you lemons, you make lemonade...or in this case, pink lemonade.
