A little accent goes a long...
A little accent goes a long way. The understated gold makes the wheels look like they're aftermarket and the hugger is on fire.
Today's lesson is how to use the Periodic Tables to help create a custom sportbike. Platinum Hearts hails all the way from Japan and is responsible for taking one of the nastiest motorcycles ever made and taming it-using only the basics. For starters, the 2005 ZX-10R was dipped in nickel for a lustrous chrome shine. Next, torch met titanium on the exhaust to give it that elusive bluish hue. After the simple chemical reaction to heat, the rest of the build came together.
The torched titanium theme...
The torched titanium theme was carried over from frame to paint for a theme so hot it looks like it just entered the atmosphere.
The Japanese have a way of making a paint job flow like fire and this Kawasaki proves the point. The paint follows a yin and yang theme and resembles an oil spill dispersed in water (a scheme not influenced by BP-Ed.).
Hard lines separate the bodywork into smaller canvasses, each displaying its own artwork. Small accents like the gold powder coated and polished wheels and flushmount rear signals provide a unique display of the attention to detail. This combination of abstract, surreal elements and precise care takes a basic custom and pushes it off the charts.
