Stealthy details run deep on this Zx-14.
Look up the word "malevolent" in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of this murdered-out ZX-14 right next to it. No matter the angle, it's one bad mofo.
"I wanted a black bike and I wanted it to look mean, but I wanted more than just a dark color. That's why we overlaid the graphics in with the paint and added other cues to really make it look dark," John Martin from Myrtle West explained.
That's right, he said "overlaid graphics." Did you miss them at first look? Have another gander and you'll catch a glimpse of the iridescent $100 bills floating throughout the body panels. But the undercover details don't stop there either.
"Most people miss the molded and smoothed windscreen and front blinkers. The black powdercoated frame, forks and swingarm are usually overlooked as well-it's the little things that go a long way in making the entire package work."
Of course it's not difficult to miss the 12-over 330 Myrtle West swingarm and wheels or the different shades of chrome, spikes and the R.I.S Designs clear clutch cover. But what you probably don't see are the Myrtle West exclusive front and rear air ride systems.
"Our front air ride kit is pretty trick, it slides into your stock forks and allows you to slam it to the ground or raise it back up and still retain the stock suspension action."
Other must-see mods include the badass Vance and Hines drag exhaust and the chrome controls in the rider's seat. But as menacing as this blacked-out beast is, quite possibly the best part is the way Martin rides it.
"We ride our customs and burnouts are mandatory on a stretched bike. We light the tire up whenever we get a chance!"
