Before Sidney Cooper attended his first Myrtle Beach Bike Week, he was happy with just rocking a Roaring Toyz 240 Wide Tire Kit on his 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa. But in the show circuit that’s like being content with a tricycle at a mountain bike race. Once he saw how tricked out other bikes were, he realized he had to come back next time flaunting more bling. “It was a maturing thing,” he said, “I realized I needed to redo this thing, to go full custom with it.”
Sidney started by adding a modified GSX-R1000 tail section “because it had a sleeker, faster” look and wasn’t as bulky. He had to cut and fabricate the subframe to get the tail section to fit, resulting in a hand made unit with only the mounting points remaining unchanged.

He then redefined the word stretched with a single-sided, tubed swingarm that was a staggering 21-inches longer than stock. Why, you ask? After spending so much money on the rear wheel package, he didn’t want it blocked off from the rest of the bike by an angular arm.
To assure all eyes were on this ‘Busa if they weren’t already Cole Stevens at Classic Steel developed a paint scheme that’d be sure to grab attention after Sidney chose the colors. Cole ghosted a bandana into the black finish for some gangster appeal while Eric Banks at Game Over powder coated what wasn’t already chromed by Paul’s Chrome Plating.

Chrome and bright colors make this ‘Busa a ballin’ ride. A 21-inch over stock arm would make for one hell of a wheelie. A Gixxer-Thou rearend puts the skinny on this big bird’s tail feathers.
Sidney built the bike for bragging rights, as there aren’t many shows or expos in his neck of the woods of Oklahoma but come bike week this radical ride will stretch more than a few necks to side as it passes by.
