Todd Colbert
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Todd Colbert, and I am a professional stunt rider and event coordinator for Stunt Wars and Stuntoberfest. I am also a factory-sponsored rider who represents Buell.
How long have you owned Stunt Wars and what is it?
I have owned Stunt Wars since 2001. It is a motorcycle-stunt competition with competitors and spectators from all over the globe.
How long do you think the stunt scene will be popular?
It is my opinion that the stunt scene has in a sense just begun. From a business standpoint I notice huge changes for the better every day in our scene. In the short time that it has been an actual sanctioned event, I am amazed at how many manufacturers and retail companies have opened their eyes to our abilities. Hopefully this will help to keep the stunt scene strong and in demand for a very long time.
Have the stunts reached their peak?
Not even close!
What do you think the next step in stunt riding is going to be?
Bigger events, larger payouts, participation from larger sponsors, younger riders and sicker tricks. The sky is the limit to where stunt riding will go.
Run us through a typical day for you.
Up at 8 a.m., answer e-mails, kick the cat, eat chocolate cake, work on Stunt Wars events, drive to the shop and do orders. Then go home, pass out.
What was the best trick you ever performed in a rental car?
E-brake 180s at 45 mph. You'd better hold on for that one.
What was the best $40 you've ever spent?
A beer and a lap dance. (Am I allowed to say that?)
What's the fastest you've been on two wheels, and what bike was it on?
It was 190 mph on a turbo, baby.

Let's all chip in and get Colbert some gloves.
What are you riding presently?
A Buell XB City Cross.
Stock/240/300/360-what's your favorite rear-tire size?
I would have to say a 300 if I ever decided to build a custom bike, but that's not really my thing.
What would you do with the last gallon of gas on Earth?
I'd put a half-gallon in the Porsche and a half-gallon in the bike.
What person do you most admire?
President Clinton. And I quote, "I did not have relations with that woman.
What's the achievement you're most proud of?
I've utilized all of my opportunities to help stunt riding evolve into a legitimate sport. I feel that all of my blood, sweat and tears have helped to get me where I am today. Never give up on your dreams and goals-there is just no limit to what you can achieve.
What would have been your alternate career?
A stockbroker.
Have you ever skinned a rabbit for food?
Can't say that I have-or would.
You've got the choice of three magic powers: fly like a bird, read people's minds or invisibility. What would you choose and why?
All of the above. C'mon, now, how could I possibly choose between those three things? They all hold the potential to produce amazing results.
Who's your favorite rider and why?
Joe "Vertical" Dryden-he's personable, professional and an all-around good guy in my opinion.
Hard alcohol, beer, shots or wine?
I like my Bud Light-that works for me.
