Hi-Low Rider Air/Oil Shock
Previously, the only options available for vertically challenged riders meant relocating the stock shock mounts and sacrificing suspension performance to obtain a short enough ride height. The Hi-Low Rider suspension by Bike Buddy Pro combines the safety and performance of a conventional coil spring/oil-based shock with the adjustability and convenience of air with up to 4 inches of travel possible by remote control.
Bike Buddy Pro created an oil-dampened air suspension by taking an air shock and putting in a larger, cored-out shaft in the center of the shock. The company then used a reversed oil dampener inside that shaft and attached an air ride to the back of the piston. As the shock travels, the air piston pulls the oil piston through the orifice. Translation: The bike can rise and lower via an on-board switch or by remote control.
