A 240 wide tire from RC Components rests in a 6-inch-over swingarm courtesy of Trac Dynamics to take care of the stretch and girth, while the hamster turning the cranks on the 220-horsepower motor gets some help from Muzzys' 1375cc big-bore kit, JE pistons, custom retooled Web cams, a total balance and blueprint job, and ported and polished heads that are topped off with a 60-shot dry nitrous kit.
Housed within the grip are the turn-signal and light buttons. | Sharp points make a point. | Three animals were harmed in the making of this seat. |
But McCoy wasn't satisfied with merely dominating the three standard pillars of customization. After the basics were squared away he took to integrating a video iPod and speakers into the upper fairing, snaked a custom Muzzys exhaust through the tail section, and mounted an Alpine monitor in the tank.

"McCoy's Bruiser boasts the three keys to a custom showbike crown: killer paint, a fat tire and gobs of power."
This project has been a working testament to the advancement and evolution of the West Coast custom sportbike scene. Only a handful of shops were making true customs back when McCoy first started blinging his bike, and the lack of parts and availability of a custom aftermarket spawned Eye Candy Cycle Designs, giving an opportunity to any builder with a dollar and a dream to roll a sick sled.
