How long have you worked at Classic Components and what is it?
I've worked at CCI for about 12 years. Weare a custom chrome-plating and metal-finishing business specializing in motorcycles.We're also set up to tear down and reassemble bikes, and all of our work is done in-house.
What do you think the next trend in sportbikes is going to be?
Trends seem to differ from coast to coast.aftermarket parts have become more popu-lar over the last few years, but we are now seeing a returned interest in stock modifications.some folks actually want to retain the stock look of their bikes by customizing ex-isting parts rather than replacing everything with billet. manufacturers seem to be helpingby offering more custom paint and parts options straight from the factory.

240-they're easier to polish and chrome!
Run us through a typical day.
The fun part of this business is that something new happens every day. During the busy season (January to may), i am responding to price quotes, logging incoming orders, working to set up new accounts, talking to walk-in customers and e-mailing people. i also work with production staff to make sure we're meeting our deadlines. There's never a dull moment in this biz.
What is the best trick you've ever performed in a rental car?
Running over a big frog on a dirt road in Kauai.
What is the best $40 you ever spent?
There was this 10-course meal and drinks in shanghai, china, that i recall...
What's the fastest you've been on two wheels, and what bike was it on?
Probably 40 mph on a Honda rebel. i just got my license and took the motorcycle safety foundation riding course.
What are you riding presently?
Still working on that one; can someone talk to the wife for me?

Comedian Bill maher-that guy's hilarious!
What would have been your alternate career?
Probably something that mirrored my education in advertising; either doing Pr or a lobbyist for the chrome-plating industry maybe.
Hard alcohol, beer, shots or wine?
A good reposado tequila is great once in a while but an ice-cold newcastle ale is the nectar of the gods.

I just downloaded some old Papa roach tunes-good freeway driving music
If you could have only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sourdough bread-goes good with the beer.
What's your favorite bike of all time?
The Juice by custom sportbike concepts (Nick, you owe me!)
What type of car do you like best-old school, import, sports car or DUB?
Old school. We also do a lot of restoration work here at the shop and see some sweet rides. Myn father's 1965 Gto is as bad-ass as they come.
What is the worst pickup line you have ever used?
Do you want to come back to my place after dinner and watch the Tyson fight?

I think so. she came back to my place and we've been married for 16 years.
