"I am a 21 year old college student, and just about all my money goes into this bike. I've done about 90% of the work myself at home. Some red Pazzo levers and black Vortex rearsets are the next mods to this beautiful machine!"

"Here's the twist; most of your readers are probably 20-30 years old. I'm 42, a corporate, jet captain and married with two kids. So I'm always the 'old guy' on the forums."

Favorite Aspect of Bike: "I feel the 600RR is the best looking 600 on the market!
I've always been a Honda fan. The first time I saw the CBR 600RR (2003) I was in love, but at the time it was out of my price range. I eventually found an '03 CBR 600RR and bought it. About two years later the bike was stolen from my garage. I was a bit pissed off that my bike was jacked! Good thing I had theft on the bike and got some of my money back.
After taking five minutes to think about what bike I wanted to get, the choice was clear-I was going to get another 600rr, but a bit newer, so I got a 2005.
I found a used '05 with 900 miles for a really good price so I picked it up. Now for this bike I'm a bit older and have moved out and got married so I don't have as much money as I did before to buy parts, so I try to mod everything myself to keep the cost low and still have something that is a bit unique."

"I've been riding my brother's bikes for years, but this is the first bike I bought myself. It's my daily driver-school, work, everywhere. The roads here in San Antonio don't just go straight- there are actual twisties that can really chew you up and spit you out. I had to learn that the hard way.
I went into a turn too hot and panicked. I didn't lean enough and went off the road at about 45 mph. I didn't have frame sliders on my bike so the left side went sliding on all the bodywork. I broke all my left side plastics, a headlight, front fairing and even somehow managed to bend my rear wheel.
I was already a member of 600rr.net and managed to find people with used plastics. I ended up getting a full left side for about $250, a new headlight for $80, and a front fairing for $75. I found a place online from a forum member in South Carolina that straightens out wheels. Then I just got some Krylon and repainted the silver part to black.
I came out of the crash with no broken bones-only internal bruising in my right collar bone and chest.
Some kids who got a flat coming back from a party in the middle of the night pulled over. I gave them $20, we threw my bike in the back of their old Dodge and they took me home. They still had a guy passed out drunk in the back seat!
I've got 13k on my bike now and its running great. I got some Vortex rearsets and a Leo Vince titantium slip on-simple but tasteful mods that I like."

"I own a 2007 CBR600RR and could not be happier, having already logged just over 10,000 miles since last May. I use this bike for everything-pleasure, commuting and touring.
I would say that my favorite upgrade was the Power Commander with the custom map. It was a day and night change from the OEM power level which was already amazing for a 600cc. My bike dynoed 116 hp to the rear wheel at the local dealership.
The bike was blue/silver when I purchased it new but I was really looking for a white/silver '07. The first thing that I did was buy all new OEM white/silver plastics which ran me about $3000. Then I went with the Two Brother's M2 V.A.L.E. slip-on and Power Commander. Last summer I added all of the carbon fiber and tidbits. When I packed it up for winter I already had about $4500 wrapped up in upgrades- money well spent!
For this riding season, I am going to have a Dynojet Ignition Module and quickshifter installed, which are both plug and play with the USB Power Commander."
