Whether this is the first or the last bit of the mag you read you'll likely be looking for an explanation for yet another facelift here at SSB.
It shouldn't really be a surprise though. Hell, the manufacturers update their bikes every two years to help keep them on the cutting edge, and that's pretty much what we did here.
Several issues ago we began to restucture our content, as you've surely noticed by now: more real world test rides, mods and product applications instead of fantasy track tests on esoteric race bikes or endless pages of identically blinged bikes from the same shop.
But all of this new content needed a better presentation, and that's where our Art Director definitely earned his keep. He spent countless hours tinkering with new fonts, color palettes and even page number styles until it all came together just right. There are also an astonishing amount of small refining touches that have helped visually dial in SSB to where it is presently, but we're hoping it's the complete package that made you pick it up. Pretty colors and pics are one thing, but they're nothing without some substance, which is why we've stuffed in some new departmental regulars to supplement the usuals. Hopefully you find them useful and amusing--after all, that's the whole point, isn't it?
