There wasn't a base model available at the intro so we sampled the upgraded 'S' version. While the power output is the same, the 'S' gets Ohlins front and rear over the standard Showa equipment. The wheels are also lighter on the 'S,' which is where much of the five-pound weight savings comes from.
Additionally, the 'S' comes with DTC (Ducati Traction Control) that's the same as the one on its racebikes and the Ducati Data Analysis (DDA) system also is included and allows for datalogging via PC.
ASCARI CIRCUIT
Southern Spain is home to one of the world's finest tracks, Ascari. This privately owned circuit is reserved for high rollers (membership costs $160,000), but occasionally they let mortals past the gates. It consists of 3.4 miles of technical elevation changes, flat out sweepers and super slow hairpins-the perfect place to test a bike's (and your own) limits
