What is your motorcycling background?
I started like most guys in Southern California riding Elsinore's racetrack every weekend with my buddies. About six years ago I got a job working for Lockhart Phillips doing the graphics for the catalog. Eventually I moved to marketing for Lockhart Phillips and I learned a ton about customizing motorcycles and aftermarket parts for both racing and bike night applications. Once I started working at Suzuki over two years ago, I was given opportunities to attend some press events and go out with the guys on some long rides. Now, I commute to work and try to get a track day in when the opportunity comes up.
Suzuki accessories has been expanding its line of factory parts. is this in response to what's happening in the marketplace?
The market is flooded with aftermarket products but Suzuki riders want genuine Suzuki accessories they can rely on.
What has been the most popular bike for Suzuki accessories?
In the sportbike segment, the Hayabusa has a history of customization and bolt-ons. Our custom chrome trim is a popular way to add that one-off custom look to the Hayabusa without breaking the bank. A close second are the GSX-R models.
If you could travel back in time, what year would you set the controls to?
Single horsepowered cowboys with six shooters and shotguns. Back when the Wild West was wild. But only if I could bring my surfboard-I'd have the entire beach to myself. Yee haw, dude. So, I guess I would go back to the 1800's and be a surfing cowboy.
