Jay-Z
99 Problems
One of the most prolific men in music isn't gonna neglect the setting that's reflected in much of today's pop music. Mr. Z headed to the 'hood with a camera rolling and came away with some candids that include the ghetto's favorite form of motorsport-sportbike stuntin'. There's not a lot of footage, but enough to make it count. And considering Jay-Z's elite status we'll take any bone he throws our way!
Chris Brown
I Can Transform Ya
Little Chris was once known for something other than beating up his girlfriend. This video shows a few quick looks at a couple custom rides including a wicked TL1000R and a blacked-out Ducati 1098. But most of the time is wasted on him grabbing his crotch, à la Michael Jackson. There was a lot of potential, but ultimately it came up a bit short. It's worth a watch though because the two customs are so sick they almost look fake.
P.-Puff Diddy-Daddy
I'll Be Missing You
The Diddy-Daddy-dudey took a trip on the wild side and crashed a GSX-R1100 as part of his remake of the classic Police tune, Every Breath You Take. But what caused him to wipe out on a perfectly dry and straight road? Did his teeth get in the way? Surely he could have come up with a better scenario.
It's a sweet bike regardless, and we get to see the spill replayed several times from numerous angles (it's quite funny really).
But how is this good for the bike industry? Right up until he wads it, there were surely plenty of folks wondering, "What is that badass bike?"
And The Bad...
Judas Priest
Turbo Lover
It's rare that a video is as hard to watch as its accompanying song is to listen to, but Judas Priest managed to flub both as a group of dirty choppers race through a psychedelic desert.
A Ha Take On Me
Comic strip land comes alive as the protagonist and his newfound love are pursued by disgruntled bike racers. Nobody actually knows why they're being chased around by men in helmets with pipe wrenches, but the few moments of imaginary motorcycle racing is well, comical.
Britney Spears Toxic
Think Torque, but even worse. One of our favorite pop music floozies hops a ride on the back of a Ducati 999 piloted by a shirtless Tyson Beckford. Their high-speed jaunt through Paris is extremely cartoonish and fake, and only mildy entertaining-much like her music.
