Aaliyah
More Than a Woman
The gorgeous Aaliyah got our blood pumping in her groundbreaking vid that features a Triumph Speed Triple pulling wheelies and ripping through traffic. It's all real riding and not some of the computer generated silliness that's ruined plenty of bike flicks.
Godsmack
Speak
Stunt riding rules in the rock world too. Filled with lovely ladies licking their lips in and amongst clips of some quality stunts, this video surely persuaded scores of men to pursue sportbike stuntin'. It's so authentic and gritty, in fact, that it almost looks like Godsmack simply showed up at the "spot" with their guitars (and women) and let the cameras roll. Cool.
Pink
There You Go
What is it with Hollywood launching poor Ninja 500s off buildings? We saw a terrorist jump one in True Lies, and now Pink fires her 500 into an ex-boyfriend's apartment.
Pink's perpetual quest to show how tough she is carried over into this video as she sports a leather suit and rides a sportbike. Her choice of machinery wasn't quite as effective in conveying her message as say, a Hayabusa, but ironically those don't fly as well as a Ninja 500.
Lil Wayne
Stuntin' Like My Daddy
The rough looking rapper shows some sportbike love as he and Birdman rock a pair of custom R1s through town. The bikes are the cleanest we've seen in a high profile rap vid and represent the custom movement pretty well. Unfortunately, there aren't any wheelies or stoppies to speak of, but surely there were loads of Google searches regarding "sportbikes in videos" after it aired.
Akon
I'm So Paid
Yet another rapper on a yacht with a helicopter and bouncing bikini girls...yawn. But the silly scenario soon moves to the mainland as Akon and his beautiful sidekick are harassed by a group of sportbikes. The bikes are current models, but the riders are lacking even the most basic stunt skills (they attempt numerous wheelies but don't have much luck).
In this case the bikes take on a menacing role, much like a pack of Harleys might have done in the past. Though the actual riding is foolish, the bikes still look pretty cool in this high-glam, overproduced video.
