A crowd of over 2,500 spectators and riders came out to enjoy a day ofmotorcycle festivities on July 30th for the Merced Maniac's first annualstunt show. Stunt riding's elite riders Darius Khashabi and Kane "Insane"Friesen were just a few of the technically brillant crew of riders thatshowed up to wow the assembled crowd, along with other local heroes likeSacNuts' Sillyneck, Jay "Bling" Pullen, "Downtown" Joe Brown, and"Big" Joe Molina who all rode in the sweltering, 105-degree heat. Specialguests Tight EFX 50cc stunt team were also there helping do their part toentertain the masses, and when the stunts became too much, eighthard-rockin', heavy metal bands provided ambiance and entertainment foreveryone to enjoy. Even Italy's Euro MTV cameramen were present andcollecting film for an upcoming TV program called "Stand-Up." After thegrueling eight-hour day under the intense California sun, the party moveddown the street to Maniacs' local watering hole where dozens of sun-bakedred faces discussed how to make things even bigger and better next year!
