"It's not often that a bike wins a battle with a car, but in this case the unimaginable came true. After getting side-swiped on an apparently indestructible Yamaha R6 test bike, it was obvious that the majority of the collision was absorbed by my left foot. The offending auto's bumper, mirror and headlight were all in pieces, but the only damage I suffered was a missing toe slider! The impact was enough to completely fold in the gear shift lever, but the boot kept my foot protected and, thankfully, still attached to my ankle! Aside from this "crash testing" where the Supertech Rs held up amazingly well, the boots fit perfectly and don't have the odd forward tilted stance like the older Supertech version.
I melted the heel on my Triumph's mid-pipe, but besides that and some other cosmetic blemishes from the car incident, these puppies will be on my dogs for a while yet!"
