Drastik Plastix Led Strobe Kit
Any proper custom bike has to have LEDs. In the dark, it's the only thing that separates your ride from a stock bike. The typical method for installing LEDs is to mix and match different sizes and shapes and wire them with a switch or remote control. Easier said than done. Drastik Plastix takes out the guesswork and puts all the lighting needed into a single ready-to-go kit. The LED Strobe Kit comes with eight pre-wired pods, a brain and a distributor box. The fun really starts with eight different sequences, including always on, knight rider, runway, rotational, two different flash sequences, police strobes and even a voice-activated mode. Everything functions by remote control. Installation is a snap. The only downside is that the wires need to be cut down, as they come extra long in order to fit virtually every application. For $300 you can have all the lighting you need in a single, easy-to-install kit. I think for the many features included in this single kit, it's the best lighting bang for the buck on the market.-John

EVS SB03 Shoulder Brace
If you're struggling with an old injury or trying to prevent a new one there's really only one choice: EVS. The Cali-based company specializes in dirtbike gear, but its products work outside of that domain as well.
Since dislocating my shoulder in a dirtbike crash, I've been wearing the SB03 shoulder brace because it has several straps to allow for immobilization of the shoulder in any way I need it. For rehab I keep it loose, but for riding I snug it nice and tight so that there's no way my arm will come loose again. It's small and light, too, so it fits under gear or a T-shirt without looking funky.-Dave
