"The last time I wore a Bell it was the Jamie James edition with the lobsters on the side, and it matched my first bike-a '92 FZR600 V&H Edition. That should tell you something.
To be honest, after that Bell slipped out of the number one spot as the ace helmet to have, and unless you've been in the game for a while you wouldn't remember when Bells were the shit.
Despite a bout as a department-store bucket, Bell is back with its new lid, the Star.
I'll admit, I was hatin' on the new Bell until I laid my hands on it. Despite graphics that just ain't my thing, I dig the fine adjustments on the visor and the good ventilation-it actually works. Compared to other helmets in its class it'll hold its own. In fact, it makes my other lids feel like a boulder in a juggling comparo. Next time you're shopping for a new bucket definitely consider the Bell Star." -Justin
