"It's easy to evaluate gear based on how it feels or looks, but all that is secondary when it comes to what it's truly designed for. All the cool logos, pockets and vents aren't going to do you much good in a crash.
While crash-testing gear is certainly not fun, it is a reality of everyday riding. I recently came off on the freeway when a car hit me going 40 mph. After tumbling for about 100 feet the Avenger held together perfectly save for a small two-inch tear on the forearm. The padding on the back and forearm absorbed the impact and my upper body was unrashed. It's nice to know that a badass looking jacket also offers serious protection." -John
