"Some dirtbag at a Spanish aeropuerto recently stole these gloves out of my gearbag, but there's not a lot I can do about it now. I'm pissed because I had them broken in nicely and was extremely pleased with their performance. Now I have to start all over.
The Merc Long is obviously a full-length glove, and I used them exclusively for trackdays (I don't like how full lengthers look and feel on the street).
The nice thing about the Merc Long is that there's loads of protection for the track, but not at the sacrifice of feel. Plenty of feedback comes from the grips and levers without being lost in the bulk that some full race gloves lug along. The top enclosure opens up very wide which makes them easy to get on and off, while fine-tuning the fit comes via a standard velcro wrist strap.
Initially they may feel a tad snug, but trust me-they'll break in and fit just right.
And to top it all off-they look rad.
If you're looking for good protection without a lot of bulk these come in at a good price. They might not have years of tried and true performance on the track like some of the other premier brands, but they're worth a shot if 100 bucks is the peak of your budget."
