When it finally came time to upgrade the rearsets on my 929 I decided to take the path less traveled with some Sato Racing 'sets, and boy am I pleased with the outcome. The Satos are made of lightweight aluminum and come in polished or anodized black finishes. They're significantly lighter than the stock hardware and adjustable from the stock peg position all the way to 20mm back and 30mm upwards.
But perhaps their greatest attribute is the build quality; the precision of the components and the double stainless steel bearings make for buttery smooth shifts and eye candy only quality rearsets can deliver.
I must say though, be sure to use Loctite on all bolts since race-style 'sets can come loose, causing components to bend. Which brings me to another advantage to Sato Racing products; it offers a complete line of replacement parts. So fear not, no matter if you need a peg, bearing or heel plate, Sato stocks it.
While the price of admission is a little steep, the performance, precision, weight savings and style these rearsets add far exceed the amount you gotta pay to play.
