Like many riders I'm not only picky about my jackets, but also extremely hard on them as well. I expect a jacket to fit properly, have enough vents to keep me cool on the hot days and sufficient insulation to keep me warm on the cold ones. I also expect my coat to have enough pockets for all my crap, strong zippers to withstand my heavy-hands and enough style to look good on any bike. High standards I know, but I guess I'm not willing to compromise.
That's why I've been pleasantly surprised with my Shift Avenger; it looks dope, is warm enough for most weather, cool enough for the steamers and braved thousands of miles in the saddle without a problem. If I had my druthers I'd like it a wee bit warmer in sub 50-degree weather, but that's nothing a sweatshirt underneath can't fix. And I have no right to complain considering that this cool coat is killin' it on all fronts and retails for under two-hundo. I'm also not one to sport skulls on my gear, but Shift nailed it with its understated style. If you're looking for a great textile jacket that wont break the bank, the Shift Avenger is a great choice. The fact they come in many different styles and colors is icing on the cake.
