A lot of passengers don't feel confident on the back of a sportbike because there simply isn't anything to hold onto firmly. The Sportbar offers a device to help passengers feel safer (and the rider more comfortable) without clinging on too tightly. A bar with hand grips attaches via a magnet to the gas tank and keeps the passenger's body from colliding with the rider.
Should the SportBar come detached under hard acceleration it will rest against the rider until it reattaches itself to the tank.
