It's rare that I'd say a stock part is better than aftermarket, but usually in the realm of bodywork, stock rocks. For years I used aftermarket race fairings when I needed replacements, and never once was I satisfied. To be fair, those various fiberglass bodywork sets were OK for race or stunt bikes, but for a street bike nothing was ever as good as stock for fitment and looks.
I'm a changed man these days. I've used a GSX-R and a Hayabusa Nice Cycle kit and both were nearly flawless. The biggest benefit is that it's real ABS plastic-just like the stock stuff. Second, the bodywork comes ready to install in your choice of nearly every stock graphic pattern (and some custom styles) available to each model. It's all clear coated and looks identical to the stock plastics that cost twice as much. Furthermore, all of the pieces are predrilled and line up perfectly with the stock mounting points. The only things you'll need to source for installation are stock rubber grommets and fasteners.
