A-stars claims that its Stella line is specifically designed to fit women, and since wearing the Stella Citta I believe that to be true. It fits my foot like a glove should fit your hand. It hugs all of the contours without pinching or getting uncomfortable. This means I can wear them with jeans when I know I’m going to be on my feet for a while, but I’ve also worn them on the track and am totally confident in their protective qualities, despite the soft leather construction and “tons of lever feel” sole.
Whether on the bike or not, I’m not very nice to my boots. They get dragged along the ground and literally tossed in the closet every time I use them, but after 5000 miles the only signs of wear are some mildly scuffed toes.
The only downside I can really put my finger on is that they’re a little boring to look at. I don’t want garish racer stripes or pink gemstones, but a little splash of color would be nice.
