In the land of extreme weight savings, the carbon fiber wheel reigns supreme. Less rotating mass aids in power delivery, braking and sharpens cornering but it doesn’t come cheap. Brock’s Performance and BST teamed up in the creation of the new R-Series front wheel. Combining forces turned out a beefed up carbon fiber wheel that will kill on the track and drop jaws on the street.
The R-Series (without bearings) weighs in at just 6.2 pounds—roughly 40 to 60 percent lighter than OEM. Increased rim thickness and reinforced spoke joints along with a newly designed rim flange improve strength, proven by JWL-certified impact testing that stated the R-Series is 53 percent stronger than a stock wheel of the same size.
As always, BST includes the details that separate great from godly: removable hubs, 90-degree aluminum valve stems and anti-slip coating (to minimize rubber spin under hard drag strip launches).
