2. Start by using an allen-wrench to remove the mid-fairing.

4. Install the male end of...

4. Install the male end of the XSB plug into the OEM female electrical connector you just unplugged. It's a good idea to use electrical tape on the new connector to ensure a weather-tight connection.

5. Install the XSB female...

5. Install the XSB female plug on the OEM male connector of the temperature switch.

6. Now connect the ground...

6. Now connect the ground wire on the XSB harness to the OEM ground. Remove the 10mm bolt, thread it through the ground connector and reinstall the bolt.

7. Use wire strippers and...

7. Use wire strippers and the supplied 3M T-Tap to splice/tap into the black/blue wire connected to the OEM fan. This is a 12V positive wire that only works when the key is on.

8. Don't forget to use some...

8. Don't forget to use some high-temp silicone to keep everything rain proof.

9. Insert the XSB insulated...

9.Insert the XSB insulated male terminal into the aforementioned 3M T-Tap.

10. Tuck the XSB relay and...

10. Tuck the XSB relay and harness out of the way. Make sure it's clear of moving parts and excess heat. If needed, use zip-ties to secure the unit.

11. Route the opposite end...

11. Route the opposite end of the XSB harness upward toward the clip-ons.

12. Remove the 10mm upper...

12. Remove the 10mm upper triple clamp bolt and install the switch mount. Feed the wires up through the mount as well

13. Connect the three wires...

13. Connect the three wires to the switch and push it into the mount. Turn the key on and cycle the fan on-and-off a few times to ensure it works properly. Now you can keep it cool with the flip of a switch.
