Beauty And The Beast: We Have Our Winners!
This is the announcement that we've all been waiting for--the final winners of our Beauty and the Beast online cover bike and cover model search! The contest kicked off almost six months ago when the editors of Super Streetbike pared down hundreds of entrants to 24 carefully chosen semi-finalists in both categories (bikes and babes). Then we asked you, the readers of Super Streetbike, to vote for 12 finalists and after that, from those 12 eye-popping bikes and babes, select the ones that you most wanted to see on the cover of an upcoming issue of Super Streetbike. Congratulations, loyal readers--your work is done, the final votes have been tabulated, and we are very pleased to announce that Eric DeLay's radical, blue and silver Yamaha R1, built by Patrick's Performance (www.patricksperformance.com), grabbed the most votes on the bike side and has been named the winning bike. And which lovely lady was selected to grace DeLay's wild ride inside the magazine? None other than Nicole Jost of Dallas, Texas, who is about to add "Super Streetbike Cover Girl" to her noteworthy resume that already includes work for Hooter's magazine and calendar, the Texas Bikini Team, the Budweiser Girls and a Ms. Hawaiian Tropic finalist. Congrats to DeLay and Jost both--now look forward to seeing the end results of our upcoming photo shoot both on the cover and on a pull-out poster inside the July 2006 issue of Super Streetbike. Thanks to all of you for following the contest from the start and for voting for the winners. Thanks especially to the models and bike owners that made the contest happen, and also to Icon Motosports (www.rideicon.com) for making this contest possible.
