NLR's Sebastian Domingo has...
NLR's Sebastian Domingo has been among the top performers in Pro Street over the last two years but had not been able to break into the winner's circle until Atlanta. Check out the insane size of his intercooled turbo!
Although Barry Henson and Sebastian Domingo were not at the opening AMA Dragbike event in Valdosta, their presence was felt. As the owners of the two top turbo system providers for the Pro Street class (Velocity Racing and Next Level Racing) it is a virtual lock that one of them will make it to the winner's circle. Or at least their hardware will.
At the second race of the season in Atlanta, Henson and Domingo got into it themselves by racing their new turbo Hayabusas to the final round where Domingo took his first-ever AMA Pro Street win.
Curtis McDougald qualified Trae Heath's 'Busa on the pole in Pro Street but could not keep the performance up early in eliminations and lost in round two. Domingo, who qualified in the second spot, got to the final with a holeshot decision over Bud Yoder in the semifinals while Henson got beat by former snowmobile racer Jason Dunigan. Domingo held a three thousandth of a second performance edge over Henson going into the final.Henson hit a rare red light foul in the final giving the win to Domingo.

Atlanta saw the long-awaited debut of the Adams Performance/Muzzys ZX-14 turbo Pro Street bike ridden by Rickey Gadson.
The Real Street class has seen some of the best competition in the entire AMA series this season and it kept that up at Atlanta with a class-high 27 entries. Wonderkid Jeremy Teasley looked to have his way with the field, qualifying number one, setting a new national record at 8.061 seconds and running almost two-tenths quicker than anyone else. All until the final when Teasley stood the bike up against MIROCK True Street champ Keith Thompson.
Atlanta hosted the second-straight all ZX-14 SuperSport final with Rickey Gadson again taking out Farlie Hall in the money round. Another two-time winner was John Fernandez who scored his second win on the Jones Performance ZX-14 Super Street machine.
