Want to go racing in the AMA's American Superbike class but don't have a ride? For $39,995 you can rock something that's capable of running up front. The rest is up to you...
"The 1125RR is designed to give privateer racers a turn-key machine to compete in the American Superbike class," commented Erik Buell.
The 1125RR features a modified Helicon 1125cc (103mm bore x 67.5mm stroke) motor along with a larger airbox and intake manifold, revised valves and cams, higher compression ratio, titanium exhaust system and other lightweight components.
The 1125RR chassis remains stock with its fuel-in-the-frame technology, but is joined with a billet axle adjustment system and chain-drive to allow for gearing changes. Suspension travel is managed by fully adjustable Showa 43mm forks and a remote-reservoir rear shock. Magnesium wheels lighten things even further as part of the major highlights.
It may seem a little pricey perhaps, but if you built one on your own you'd be in it for nearly the same-only without the expertise of the factory techs.
