This month, just in time for holiday wish lists, sees the release of the long-awaited training DVD from Keith Code, "A Twist of the Wrist II". Filmed in HiDef and utilizing visual effects and sophisticated film making techniques, the 109 minute film brings Code's best selling book vividly to life in a clear and dynamic way, covering multiple aspects of the technical points he discovered.
The film follows the journey of two new riders, from canyon roads to track, as they encounter their own limitations and uncertainties in their riding and then learn to overcome them with the correct techniques that apply in each scenario. They gain confidence and control, start to have fun and improve.
"My primary objective in this DVD was to communicate to riders that there is a definite technology to riding. The bike wasn't designed by opinions or good advice and riding is the same, there are technical points that need to be understood. That's the message and focus of this film," says Code.
"Once a rider gets the idea there is a technology then and only then can he conquer his fears and uncertainties on cornering and at that point improvement is virtually unlimited".
The film delivers precision techniques for barriers to cornering such as rider input, fundamentals on steering, visual skills, braking, body position, throttle control and more.
All the techniques are thoroughly explored using multiple camera angles, onboard shots and CG animation in over 1400 shots.
"If a guy could just watch someone doing a good job of riding and learn, all he'd have to do is watch Rossi closely and he should be able to ride like him, you can see what he's doing and where, very clearly - but it just doesn't work like that. I realized early on in this project every technique needed to be covered visually in MANY different ways to really show it so that it could be understood and that's what we set out to do," says Code.

Keith got hooked on motorcycles when he was just twelve years old, after hearing a recording of the 1957 IOM TT Golden Jubilee races and at sixteen he started racing. During the 1970's Keith began what would become his life's work - understanding and teaching the art of riding motorcycles, making him the first person to develop and fully codify riding technology for motorcycles. His research continues to this day.

Keith has written three books about sport bike riding and racing techniques as well as a feature length movie covering his first book, "A Twist of the Wrist". His works have been translated into Russian, German, Estonian, Greek, Spanish, Japanese, Polish, French, Italian and Dutch. Today he writes a monthly column called Code Break for Motorcyclist Magazine who named him Motorcyclist of the Year for his contributions to training. Keith's research in the early O90s for "A Twist Of The Wrist II" saw him once again return to the track as a racer. Where his earlier books create a broad sweeping understanding of riding techniques, Twist II, zeros in on specific scenarios in riding and illustrates the precise techniques needed for them.
In 2007 Keith took his script for the book to film production company, Turbo films, to begin planning the long awaited film. Shot over several weeks in 2008 on location in California, utilizing visual effects and sophisticated film making techniques, the film brings all of the scenarios and techniques in the book vividly to life. It promises to dramatically deepen the understanding of all who are already familiar with his techniques and introduces a whole new world of riding to riders who have yet to experience the certainty and control possible with Keith's training techniques.
