Star has pulled out all the stops with the 2010 VMAX and if you want a piece of this 200 HP monster you better order one this month. That's right; Star is making the VMAX an order-only model in 2010 so you know they'll be instant collector's items.
Sporting a 1679cc V-4 motor with enough muscle to smoke the tire in the first three gears, this power cruiser is more of a skull crusher than your typical muscle bike. Honestly, hammer the throttle in the lower cogs and the 200-series tire doesn't stand a chance. From light-to-light there isn't much that'll touch it, even a Busa.
But more than just brawn, this beast sports fully adjustable suspenders on both ends, huge six piston calipers with ABS, yet is docile enough to ride every day. If that's not cool enough, the new Candy Red paint and red stitching on the saddle make this a real looker.
Also joining an already stout package are enough Star accessories to make your head spin. Whether you want carbon fiber and chrome or billet and baggage they've got everything you'd ever want. But the two coolest accessories are definitely the Race ECU that pushes power into the 200+ HP ballpark and the 240 wide-tire kit that includes an even wider rim. That's right, that huge stock fender even swallows a massive 240 out back.
We've had a chance to spend the better part of a week with Mr.Max and it's one of the coolest bikes ever to grace our presence. Never before has a bike had so much stump-pulling torque. The VMAX is a beast! And the fact you can't ride it anywhere without someone giving you a thumbs-up or stopping you with questions is pretty damn cool.
If ever you wanted the chance to buy a piece of two-wheeled history this is it. And for good reason, because one smash of the gas on the new VMAX and you'll know why this is one of the baddest bikes to ever hit the scene.
