Kawasaki ZX-10R
Though Kawi was modest about its hard-hitting 2009 ZX-10R, it was definitely at the head of its class. But Kawi isn't resting on its laurels for 2010, and instead the big Ninja receives more tweaks in the pursuit of perfection.
Some love the Ten's looks, but most hate it. It's been nipped and tucked for 2010, making it easier on the eyes. The new bodywork is subtly sculpted and now more aerodynamic like its baby brother, the ZX-6R.
More than just skin-deep however, the updates also include a revised 18-way Öhlins steering damper and a new muffler that's leaner, meaner and...blacker. Furthering the improvements is a revised transmission for even smoother shifts-which seems impossible since the '09 already has a gearbox from the gods.
The 2010 updates might seem somewhat insignificant on paper, but it's quite the contrary, as the ZX-10R has gotten better where it really counts. We'll find out soon if these mild mods are the clincher for the perfect package.

Yamaha R6:
The Yamaha R6 has gone through significant changes over the years, but one thing's for certain-it's always been on top of the 600cc charts. Although not completely overhauled for 2010, the R6 is getting some upgrades to keep it on its game.
A remapped engine control unit and a new 100mm longer muffler offer increased performance (though we're not convinced on its looks). Also new is the YCC-I (Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake); a variable intake-length system that broadens the powerband and reinforces the R6's high-rev hit.
The 2010 R6 will be available in dealerships beginning January 2010 for $10,490. Full information on all Yamaha models can be found at
