(Lake Forest, CA January 25, 2010) Now entering its fifth year of competition, the XDL Stunting Championship is expanding its national series to six rounds, kicking off during Bike Week in Daytona and concluding with MotoGP weekend in Indianapolis. "Every stop on the tour is now part of a bigger happening, in a key market or both," notes XDL founder Randy Grube. "I'm excited, our athletes are excited and I think 2010 will be a great year."
Further adding to the excitement is the fact that entire series will be covered on the Versus TV in 2010. The network views coverage of the XDL stunt series as a key to reaching the core 20-year-old sportbike
demographic, "and it helps that XDL has developed into the fastest-growing action sport in America," adds Grube. It also makes sense for Scorpion to get its claws into this key market niche.
In fact, the helmet and apparel outfit will be well represented in the XDL ranks as a number of the nation's top stunters rely on EXOskeletal protection from Scorpion. Top contender Chris "Teach" McNeil on the factory BMW heads the list of XDL competitors wearing Scorpion helmets (learn more about Teach's XDL exploits at ( www.teachtrix.com ), but there are a host of others covered in Scorpion EXOwear, including Josh Borne wearing helmets, pants, gloves and jackets ( www.bornefreestyle.com). Aaron Twite will be competing in both helmets and jackets( www.aarontwite.com ), Eric "E-Brake"
Pettit will not only be wearing helmets and jackets, but also doing tandem shows with his girlfriend Chelsea similarly decked out in Scorpion gear ( www.e-brakestunts.com). Last, but certainly not least, "Sick Rick" Hart will be wearing Scorpion lids for the 2010 XDL season ( www.rickhartstunts.com).
"Keep your eyes out for these guys at these XDL events and at local stunt shows," says Scorpion's marketing/media relations maven Suzie Kirby. "They will all represent the Scorpion brand well in 2010!" For the dates and locations of all 2010 XDL Championship Series events, click onto www.xdlshow.com and check your local listings for
