LeoVince USA is pleased to release the 2010 global sponsorship plans for the LeoVince Brand.
This year is the culmination of decades of hard work putting the LeoVince name at the forefront
of the world’s top race series.
In the premiere class of the MotoGP World Championship, LeoVince SBK will now be the
technical sponsor of the Tech 3 Yamaha team with American riders Ben Spies and Colin
Edwards. LeoVince is also very excited by the prospects that the Moto2 class presents. We will
be a technical sponsor of the Tech3 Moto2 team with riders Yuki Takahashi and Raffaele De
Rosa, and the Pons Racing Team, with riders Axel Pons and Sergio Gadea.
Also new to the LeoVince Family in 2010 will is our sponsorship of the Kawasaki World
Superbike Racing Team, racing Kawasaki ZX10’s with riders Chris Vermeulen and Tom Sykes.
We will be renewing our relationship with Althea Racing on their Ducati 1098’s with riders
Shakey Byrne and Carlos Checa. Our World Supersport effort features a continued partnership with Team Provec Motorcard.com campaigning Kawasaki ZX6’s, with riders Fujiwara and Lascorz.
In the U.S. LeoVince SBK renews its sponsorship with Michael Jordan Motorsports on Suzuki
GSXR 1000’s with riders Aaron Yates and Jake Zemke on the 23 and 54 bikes. Geoff May with
GMR racing will campaign a Suzuki GSXR 600 making a run at the Daytona 200 and other select
AMA rounds. LeoVince will continue its relationships with Melissa Paris and we will strengthen our bid for the WERA championship with Lee Acree and Team 84 Racing.
LeoVince SBK Unlimited will sponsor Red Bull athlete Aaron Colton. We will also continue
sponsoring BMW sponsored rider Chris “Teach” McNeil and “Crazy” Dan Jackson.
Worldwide, LeoVince X3 will partner with CH Racing as it makes its run at the Enduro World
Championship and Supermoto championship. We will also continue our six-year relationship
with CAS Honda as they assault MX1 and the British championship.
Stateside, LeoVince X3 ended 2009 with a GNCC championship thanks to Paul Whibley. For
2010 we have a new relationship with Factory Husqvarna/Zip-Ty Racing in GNCC/WORCS with
riders Ty Davis, Bobby Garrison, Nick Burson and Corry Gaffunder. Riding the east coast for
Factory Husqvarna rider Glen Kearney will also be sponsored. X3 Arena Cross efforts feature
Storm Lake Honda and riders Ricky Draper and Kurt McCabe. We are also happy to see the
return of Jake Johnson to our family, with Zanotti Racing.
