Bitubo recently provided all participants in the Triumph Street Triple only European Trophy Series with its new suspension kits. While the Street Triple has an engine with excellent torque and considerable power, it can use a little help in the handling department.
Although the suspension combo was quite simple, it worked well for the racers. For the rear wheel, Bitubo recommends the mono-damper XXF11, which is carefully made from light alloys (Ergal, NiCr steel), that significantly contribute to reduce weight up to 2.4 kg. It also has optional adjustments (24 in extension, 20 in high-speed compression and 24 in low-speed compression), and is fitted with manual spring preload. In regard to the forks, Bitubo offers two products that guarantee maximum high-speed stability and great suspension action in the corners; a spring kit and valves/pistons.
The spring kit is made up of thermally-treated, shot-peened and settled springs made from Cr-Si steel; linear and progressive springs are also available. In addition, specific Fuchs – Silkolene oil is also provided for the swap.
The second piece is a valve kit that’s designed to improve "flowability" and functionality. These valves are machined from solid materials and have a diameter of 20 mm or 24 mm depending on the application. When run along with the spring kit and the rear mono-damper it changes the Street Triple into a whole new bike.
