My motorcycle is my weapon because it allows me to do something when I'm riding that I can't do so well when I'm off it-speak. I'm 30 years old, and as long as I have had a memory of being able to speak, I have struggled with it. I suffer from a physiological retardation known more commonly as stuttering. Dealing with stuttering is a frustration like none other I have ever known and most times it gets the best of me. Some days are OK and other days are bad, but when I'm on my CBR1000RR all of that goes away. I don't have to worry about not being heard or getting a point across. There's no concern of mumbling or long pauses where I can't do anything. I don't have to worry about being seen as "the guy who has problems talking." When I'm on my weapon I'm just a rider like everyone else.
Being normal is what we long for, and that's what my weapon does for me when I'm riding-it makes me normal and allows me to combat the everyday difficulties that myself and many others face.
