At Miller it was a podium sweep in the GTO and GTU classes for privateer riders using Öhlins suspension components, complementing Aprilia Racing’s double wins by Max Biaggi in World Superbike, topping an Öhlins podium sweep in each of those races as well. In the Lucas Oil Superbike Challenge GTO event, Taylor Knapp rode his Riders Discount.com Suzuki GSX-R1000 to first place with Chris Peris on a BMW S1000RR taking second, and Geoff May riding a Buell 1125RR to third. Each of these rider’s disparate machines had the benefit of Öhlins suspension components for their trophy-winning performances.
In the GTU race, winner Jimmy Wood earned first place on a Kawasaki ZX-6R with Taylor Knapp placing second on a Triumph Daytona 675, and May again recording third, this time on a Suzuki GSX-R600. Again, each rider used Öhlins suspension components front and rear to earn their podium finish.
