2011 Kawasaki Ninja 1000

Z1000 family expands

From the November, 2010 issue of Super Streetbike

Kawi's Z1000 streetbike now has a fully-faired sibling for riders looking for unique styling and weather protection. Based on the Z1000, the Ninja 1000 utilizes the same hearty 1,043cc motor but wraps it in tasty bodywork that's been heavily influenced by the ZX-10R.

Fully adjustable suspension in front and semi-adjustable rear shock (preload and rebound only) will allow the Ninja 1000 the versatility to be just as handy at a trackday as it would be for long sport-touring adventures.

Pricing hasn't been released yet, but it should fall in near or slightly above the naked Z1000.
