West Coast Bike Fest

Bike clubs from across Southern California mounted up and headed east, but not for Vegas. Instead, Laughlin, Nevada was the destination. Think of it as Las Vegas's little brother with all the same debauchery, just on a smaller scale.

The West Coast Bike Fest congregated thousands of bikers to the Edgewater Hotel on the banks of the Colorado River for a weekend loaded with stunts, usic and sportbikes. Riders shed their vests and jackets in favor of trunks and t-shirts for a rockin' pool party that was followed by Saturday's amateur stunt competition and custom bike show.

Riders in the stunt competition showcased their skills as part of an ongoing series organized by Stunt Farm. Eric Whitcomb cleaned house with three "numba ones" in Most Circles, Target and Longest Stoppie. Up and comer Kris Higdon proved he had what it took to muscle a motorcycle with a first place finish in Individual Freestyle and Barrel Stall. We expect to see more of Higdon as he rises through the ranks and eventually moves on to the XDL series.

As the sun set in the horizon and the temperatures started to cool off, the competition cage was turned into a place to rage for an all-star concert including Sugafree and DJ Quick. To cap off the party, a custom wrapped Hayabusa was raffled off to Navy man Jessie Stevenson, whose sweet ride awaits his return from sea.
