Los Angeles, CA (April 26, 2011) -- After adding Monterey, CA as a signature event for the 2011 season, the XDL Championship Series has now finalized venue arrangements for the July 22 & 23 Round 4 competition, which will showcase the best street freestyle riders in the world at the Depot Lot in downtown Monterey. The Depot Lot sits right on the waterfront in one of the most picturesque settings imaginable. It is located next to Del Monte Ave. on the way to Cannery Row, immediately before the tunnel entrance and right in front of Old Fisherman's Wharf, making it quite possibly the best location in town.
By becoming part of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix weekend, XDL is able to close out the season with back to back MotoGP events with the Red Bull Indianapolis GP following on August 26 & 27. It shows just how far street freestyle has come in 5 seasons, from being a fringe player to now becoming an integral part of the two most prestigious motorcycle events in the nation. "I couldn't be more excited to be part of the Monterey weekend" stated XDL founder Randy Grube. "The location puts one of the most exciting motorcycle properties in one of the most beautiful locations as part of one of the most significant events, and XDL will be sure to do its share to make this a weekend for everyone to remember."
As with the Red Bull Indianapolis GP, the XDL schedule runs from 5pm to 10pm in the evening on both days so race fans have a chance to shower up and grab a bite before hitting town for the night.
The XDL venue also provides an excellent opportunity for companies to set up a booth to market and/or sell product to the many fans that will be in attendance. Space is very limited and about half of it is already spoken for. If you are looking to target the motorcycle youth market or this is your first foray into the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix weekend, XDL offers an excellent opportunity to reach new customers.
