Holland, MI August 1, 2011 --It was announced today that Sportbike Track Time and The Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy have entered into a strategic partnership designed to broaden each company's service portfolio to their customers.
Through the partnership, Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy will expand its school location from one track, (Talladega Gran Prix Raceway) to multiple tracks in a wide region. By allying with Sportbike Track Time, which hosts numerous track day events throughout the Midwest and South, Speed Academy will broaden its customer base. "Our philosophy, goals and teaching styles are synonymous with those of Sportbike Track Time. This partnership will allow us to reach more potential customers in other regions, while aligning us with a top-notch track organization that compliments who we are," said Brian Stokes, Speed Academy Co-Owner and Instructor.
Sportbike Track Time is the leading track day organization that enables sportbike riders to learn how to ride their motorcycle on a closed-circuit racetrack, through classroom and track instruction. "I am truly excited to be partnering with Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy; this partnership gives our customers the opportunity to progress to the next level of rider education. About Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy: Instructors Jason DiSalvo and Brian Stokes have put together an exciting curriculum to improve riding skills. Using the latest GPS technology, they mount an Athena/GET MD60 lap timer to each bike to record the student's racing line and lap times. On- track coaching, video-taping and drills help hone riding skills as well. Classroom sessions are designed to improve knowledge of bike setup, and proper riding techniques. "At the Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy we're about making you smarter, faster, and safer. Our goal is to teach you the same techniques real pros use to achieve success," said Jason DiSalvo.
The Sportbike Track Time/Speed Academy partnership will allow students the added flexibility of choosing to complete a one-day or a two-day Speed Academy school. "With this program, students can choose to participate in Speed Academy on Saturday, and then apply the skills and techniques on Sunday during a Sportbike Track Time track day. This will be of great use to customers looking to hone their skills while their new-found knowledge is still fresh," according to Richard Harris. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the standard, 2-day Speed Academy format as well, which covers additional "deep-dive" content on the second day.
"We are thrilled to be working in conjunction with Sportbike Track Time. In addition to the 2011 calendar, we are happy to announce that approximately 15 dates will be added to the 2012 schedule," said Jason DiSalvo. The final schedule for 2012, including additional venue locations will be announced in January, 2012.
