Santa Cruz, CA – In addition to the high-speed, knee-dragging motorcycle road race action on the track, there will be plenty of fan-generated thrills inside the Bell Helmets exhibit at the 2012 Red Bull US Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway in Monterey, Calif., July 27-29. Fans can test their virtual mettle in Bell’s road racing video game competition, with each day’s top rider winning a limited edition Bell Star Carbon Red Bull US Grand Prix helmet. All participants will get a free commemorative podium photo with the Bell Victory Lane Girls.
“No other motorsports event offers more excitement and action for fans than Moto GP, and we’re excited to do our part this year to give fans something extra,” said Bell Brand Manager Brian Horton. “For road racing and sport-bike enthusiasts, our Star Carbon is where it’s at, and giving them the chance to win a Red Bull Moto GP version is completely over the top.”
The commemorative Star Carbon is just one of 20 daily prizes fans will race for—other prizes include standard helmets and Bell’s new line of race-inspired apparel. And proving the adage that “everybody is a winner,” all participants can pose for a podium picture with the Bell Victory Lane Girls, getting a hard copy of the photo on site, as well as access to social/sharable digital versions via an online portal.
In addition to these fan activities, Bell-sponsored AMA racing stars, including Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha rider Josh Herrin and RoadRace Factory Red Bull team riders JD Beach, Jake Gagne, Hayden Gillim and Tomas Puerta will make appearances at the booth throughout the weekend.
Fans can experience all the action at the Bell Helmets exhibit located in the Yamaha Marketplace in the expo/manufacturer’s area.
