Super Streetbike's Bike Night Out a huge success!
Super Streetbike's Bike Night Out, presented by LBZ, was held on Saturday, August 26, on what can only be described as a perfect SoCal summer day. Over 3,000 riders from up and down the West Coast made their way to Pomona, California, to bring the pages of Super Streetbike magazine to life.
With over fifty custom sportbikes competing for cash and trophies, the Custom Bike Show sponsored by Chrome Effects (www.chromeeffectbikes.com) filled half of the 33,000 feet of indoor floor space. The big winner of the night was the Hollywood-themed Hayabusa owned by Platinum Ryder's Billy Washington, who walked away with the big trophy and $1,000!
Video segments from the Stuntshine State, Revolution and Conquistador kept the indoor stunt action running on two twelve-foot big screens thanks to Spearmint Rhino (www.spearmintrhino.com)! The crowd was also treated to a sneak preview of Kane Friesen's world record-breaking stoppie that aired days later on Discovery Channel's Stunt Junkies television program.
Over 20 ladies strutted their stuff for the Super Streetbike model search sponsored by Sport Chrome (www.sportchrome.com) in hopes of gracing the pages of the magazine.
A 20-minute fashion show featuring lovely models from Umbrella Girls USA showcased the latest in street riding apparel from Alpinestars, Cortech, Icon, Joe Rocket and Shift Racing.
Vendors from Cycle Trader, Sports Stop, Royal Blunt, Sexican, Terra Powersports, Parts411, Classic Components, 2 Wheel Tuning, Russ Brown, Sportbike Chat, Roland Sands Designs, Racing 905 and others came face to face with the magazine's readership to show off their latest products and services.
The highlight of the night was the live stunt show where Kane Friesen, Darius Khashabi and Patrick Stephens put on four shows for a packed grandstand. The end of the show was capped off with all four riders blowing all their tires in sea of smoke and rubber.
Overall, the show was a smashing success and proved that a stand-alone streetbike-only show can pack a venue. Keep reading the pages of Super Streetbike magazine for complete cover of Bike Night Out and for future events on the horizon!
