Starboyz: Across America
Call this latest offering from Ohio stunt legends the Starboyz a two-fer: Although it's not mentioned anywhere on the box copy, in addition to a video record of the Starboyz wild-and-wooly 7000-mile, seven-day cross country road trip, this video also includes as bonus the lost FTP4 footage that was pulled from the market last summer following a legal squabble with the original production company-in effect giving you two great Starboyz DVDs for the price of one. We've got to admit that, after taking one look at the cheesy, Highlights For Children-style graphics on the box, we didn't have great expectations for this video, but one look at the contents convinced us otherwise. The basic premise was for the Starboyz to load up the motorhome and drive from their Akron, Ohio, home to Long Beach for a show at West Coast Choppers, then make it back to the East Coast for another show at State College, Pennsylvania, just seven days later. If this mega-mile marathon wasn't enough, Starboyz Scott and Kevin make it a goal to stunt at all the American landmarks along the way, including Hollywood, the Grand Canyon, the Las Vegas strip, even Times Square in downtown NYC! Incredible scenery-not to mention great riding and the Boyz' undeniable Star power-set this video apart, and the sickness that is FTP4 thrown in for free is just icing on the cake.

Crazy Dan Productions: A Few Loose Screws II
Dan Jackson split some wigs (not to mention, won the prestigious 2004 Xtremey award) with his first DVD offering, A Few Loose Screws, known best for the final scene where he jumped (and successfully landed) his CBR954RR stuntbike 35 feet in the air off an FMX ramp. For the sequel to his first video, Jackson raises the bar even further, this time heading to his buddy Travis Pastrana's pad to borrow his foam pit for an attempt at the first-ever backflip on a sportbike. Jackson is ultimately unsuccessful (though his attempts make great footage) but all is not lost-at Pastrana's that same day is German uber-stunter Christian Pfeiffer, who does complete a backflip into the foam blocks on his Ducati Monster-and Jackson gladly shines the spotlight on Pfeiffer for a few minutes, making for the highlight of this video. With cameos by big players like Pfeiffer and Pastrana, you can tell that this isn't your typical backyard stunt vid-AFLSII gives a glimpse into how the big boy stunters work and play, subjecting you to some off-the-chain street and spot stunting mixed up with plenty of other moto-madness for variety's sake, including FMX, BMX, 50s, go-karts and even redneck/white-trash extravaganza stuff like school bus stunting (no, really) and trailer racing (just check it out for yourself...). Gratuitous cheesecake (from Bike Week and beyond) is included for you pervs, all coming together for what is sure to be a contender for another Xtremey trophy this year.
