STUNT WARS
ROAD AMERICA, WISCONSIN
A new points series breathes life into the stunt scene.
The IMSRA (International Motorcycle Stunt Riders Association) is the marriage of two long-standing eastern contests-Stunt Wars and Stuntfest. With a points purse of $25,000 divided between the season's top three riders coupled with winning all six events in the series, a rider could pull down 33K just from the IMSRA contest series alone.
The first round kicked off at Road America, and the venue offered a very unique course to riders who are used to being stuck in a rectangular box.
The longest endo competition Stunt Wars is famous for couldn't get along with a U-shaped course. Instead, competitors "raced" around a cone course and ultimately finished with an endo to a target. Bill Dixon took the win with a 180 endo around the track's bend, landing his rear tire perfectly on target.
The main event, Individual Freestyle, saw Ernie Vigil slot into third behind second place Bill Dixon. The number one spot (and series points lead) went to Nick Brocha after laying down a flawless and energized run.
