The Super Streetbike/ECTA Top Speed Challenge is just around the corner (Sept 27-28th) at Maxton, North Carolina. Everybody seems to claim riding at 200 mph anyway, so instead of bragging about some unverified speed to your buddies, take a lane at Maxton's Monster Mile and show everyone how fast you and your bike really are. Class rules are simple and can be found at the ECTA webpage (www.ecta-lsr.com).
Last year the winner in the unlimited class went over 244 mph and we've already seen over 256 mph this year. Who knows, maybe the Maxton record of 260 mph could be yours. Also just announced-each of the seven class winners will earn the right to wear a winner's patch on a jacket provided by Speed and Strength (www.ssgear.com).
